SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Earl C. Taylor of Decatur, who passed
4away on March 15, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Earl Taylor was born in Decatur on September 21,
61954 to Raymond and Mildred Taylor; he married Verzell Cobb,
7the love of his life and high school sweetheart; they shared
8more than 43 years together; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Earl Taylor developed a reputation among his
10family as a man of great character, wisdom, and knowledge; he
11was employed as a grinder at Wagner Castings for 21 years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Earl Taylor was a charter member of the Main
13Street Church of the Living God; he served on the Brotherhood
14Chorus, the Mass Choir, the Usher Board, the Finance Committee,
15and the Trustee Board, and as church custodian; he will always
16be remembered for his deep faith in God and his service to His
17church; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Earl Taylor was preceded in death by his father,
19Raymond Taylor; his brother, Eddie Taylor; and his paternal and
20maternal grandparents; and

1    WHEREAS, Earl Taylor is survived by his wife, Verzell; his
2mother, Mildred Taylor; his 3 sons, Earl Taylor (Camilla),
3Justin Taylor, and Marvin Sangster; his 3 grandsons, Earl
4Taylor, Jr., Camron Taylor, and Marvin Sangster, Jr.; his 4
5granddaughters, Camiyah Taylor, Destiny Bracey, Marciana
6Sangster, and Alexyna Sangster; his god-grandchildren, Samaj
7and Sameer Griffin; his 2 sisters, Pamela Sangster and Linda
8Taylor; his 5 brothers, Robert Taylor (Marilyn), Ronnie Goforth
9(Ailene), Wilbert Fred Taylor (Gina), Raymond Taylor, Ricky
10Goforth (Vanessa), and Marvin Goforth (Arnette); and numerous
11caring relatives and friends; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
14Earl C. Taylor, and extend our sincere condolences to his
15family, his friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
16further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Earl Taylor as an expression of our
19deepest sympathy.
