SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Jeanette Couri of East Peoria, who passed 
4away on March 15, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Jeanette Couri was born on October 15, 1929 in 
6Peoria; her parents were Thomas and Marianna (nee Mrad) Kouri; 
7she married Thomas Couri on May 4, 1948 in Peoria; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Jeanette Couri was a homemaker and a longtime 
9hostess at the Lariat Club in Peoria; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Jeanette Couri was a member of St. Monica's 
11Catholic Church in East Peoria; she was also a member of the 
12St. Monica's Ladies Guild and the Itoo Society; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Jeanette Couri was preceded in death by her 
14husband, Thomas; a brother, Bernard Kouri; and 3 sisters, 
15Gladys Tony, Margaret LaHood, and Elizabeth Couri; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Jeanette Couri is survived by 2 sons, Mike 
17(Vickie) Couri and Bob (Kathy) Couri; 8 daughters, Karen (Fred) 
18Clark, Janice (Ray) Martin, Tricia (Jeff) Lambrich, Debra 
19(Bill) Spears, Jeannine (George) Jacob, Beth (Ed) Olehy, Sue 
20Couri, and Cindy (Lester) Behrends; 23 grandchildren; 10

1great-grandchildren; a sister, Bernadine Anthony; and 3 
2brothers, Louis Kouri, Ed Kouri, and Gene Kouri; therefore, be

4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
6family and friends, mourn the passing of Jeanette Couri; and be 
7it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Jeanette Couri as an expression of 
10our sympathy.
