2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Alexis DeSean Taylor, Sr., who passed |
4 | | away on March 3, 2015; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Alexis Taylor, Sr. was born on August 15, 1984 in |
6 | | Cincinnati, Ohio; his parents were Albert S. Taylor and Sheila |
7 | | R. (Taylor) Hanson; he met Missy Trotter in October of 2003; |
8 | | the pair was engaged in 2013; and |
9 | | WHEREAS, Alexis Taylor, Sr. attended Western Hills and Life |
10 | | Skills High Schools; he also completed some college courses in |
11 | | Ohio; and
|
12 | | WHEREAS, Alexis Taylor, Sr. was employed with the |
13 | | Southwestern Ohio Water Company; and
|
14 | | WHEREAS, Alexis Taylor, Sr. confessed in Christ at an early |
15 | | age under the teachings of Rev. Willie Brown at New Missionary |
16 | | Baptist Church; and
|
17 | | WHEREAS, Alexis Taylor, Sr. was preceded in death by his |
18 | | grandparents, Albert and Tomma C. Taylor, Marvin Day, Sr., and |
19 | | Doc and Dorothy Helm; 3 aunts, Carla Thomas, Bonnie Whitehead |
20 | | and Debora Henderson; an uncle, James R. Helm; and a godsister, |

5 | | Sheena Williams, Damica (David) Booker, Whitney Shepherd, |
6 | | Tanasha (Maurice) Farrier, and Olivia Hanson; a brother, Damico |
7 | | (Megan) Taylor; 2 grandparents, Beverly (Maurice) Helm-Renfro |
8 | | and Beryl Hanson; 2 aunts, Beverly Taylor and Lisa (John) |
9 | | Sloan; 3 uncles, Derek Taylor, Marvin (Dana) Day, Jr., and Sam |
10 | | Thomas; his godmother, Diana Powell; 3 godsisters, Nia Ervin, |

16 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his |
17 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Alexis DeSean Taylor, |
18 | | Sr.; and be it further

19 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
20 | | presented to the family of Alexis Taylor, Sr. as an expression |
21 | | of our sympathy.
