SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Glen Lenzi of Gurnee, who passed away on
4February 19, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Glen Lenzi was born in Waukegan on May 29, 1949 to
6Enzo and Beverly Lenzi; he graduated Waukegan High School in
71967 and was a member of the first CLC graduating class in 1971
8and the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management; he married
9Donna May Redmer on June 7, 1969; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Glen Lenzi worked over 30 years for Johnson
11Outboards/OMC in Waukegan and other locations throughout the
12world, serving in all different areas, starting as a millwright
13and working his way into maintenance, where he eventually
14became the Maintenance Supervisor, followed by time in the
15Environmental Division; he retired as a project management
16engineer in charge of opening new plants throughout the world;
17after retirement, he worked briefly for the Lake Villa School
18District as the Business Director; he then went to work for
19Bombardier Recreational Products to assist in plant start-up;
20and
 
21    WHEREAS, Glen Lenzi was well known throughout the Gurnee
22community, serving for almost 20 years on the Gurnee Grade

1School District 56 school board, including 4 years as
2President; in 1999, he was nominated as the Gurnee Days honoree
3for his years of dedicated community service; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Glen Lenzi was preceded in death by his parents;
5and
 
6    WHEREAS, Glen Lenzi is survived by his wife of 45 years,
7Donna; his children, Jason (Lauri) Lenzi, Steven (Laura) Lenzi,
8and Jana (fiancée Dan DiCaro); his grandchildren, Kaia, Dakota,
9Kyra, and Yasmin; his sisters, Beverly (Ron) Glovetski, Joyce
10(Chet) Brewer, and Cathy Lenzi; and his brother, Gene (Dee Dee)
11Lenzi; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
14Glen Lenzi, and extend our sincere condolences to his family,
15friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Glen Lenzi as an expression of our
18deepest sympathy.
