2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Helen A. Lakota of Joliet, who passed |
4 | | away on December 16, 2014; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Helen Lakota was born in Joliet on November 12, |
6 | | 1917 to Joseph and Anna Trizna; and
|
7 | | WHEREAS, Helen Lakota supported her husband in his business |
8 | | at Lakota Jewelers for 35 years; she was also a Deputy for the |
9 | | Will County Sheriff's Department in the 1960s; and
|
10 | | WHEREAS, Helen Lakota enjoyed sewing, knitting, |
11 | | crocheting, and crafts; she was a member of the choir, the |
12 | | Altar and Rosary Society, Medical Mission, Joanites, and the |
13 | | Mothers Club at St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church; she was also |
14 | | a member of the Seniors Club of Joliet, an auxiliary at the |
15 | | Northwest Recreation Club, and an auxiliary at Our Lady of |
16 | | Angels Retirement Home; and
|
17 | | WHEREAS, Helen Lakota was preceded in death by her husband, |
18 | | Louis J. Lakota; her parents; her daughter, Mary; her brothers, |
19 | | Joseph (Cecilia) Trizna, Anton (Josephine) Trizna, Rudolph |
20 | | (Helen)(Rose) Trizna, and Raymond Trizna; her granddaughter, |
21 | | Cheryl Thomas; and her great-granddaughter, Hannah Ludwick; |
