SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Amends “An Act concerning appropriations”, Public Act 99-524, approved June 30, 2016. In provisions concerning amounts appropriated for fiscal year 2017 to the Illinois Racing Board payable from the Horse Racing Fund, provides that an amount appropriated is for expenses related to the regulation and promotion (rather than the regulation) of a racing program. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. “An Act concerning appropriations”, Public Act 99-524, approved June 30, 2016, is amended by changing Section 1 of Article 132 as follows:

Sec. 1. The following named amounts, or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects and purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated to meet the ordinary and contingent expenses of the Illinois Racing Board:
