AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
ARTICLE 1
Section 5. The following named amounts, or so much thereof as may be necessary, are appropriated to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity:
OFFICE OF ENERGY ASSISTANCE
Payable from Supplemental Low-Income Energy Assistance Fund:
For Grants and Administrative Expenses
Pursuant to Section 13 of the Energy
Assistance Act of 1989, as Amended,
including refunds and prior year costs....... 165,000,000
Payable from Low Income Home Energy
Assistance Block Grant Fund:
For Grants, Contracts and Administrative
Expenses associated with the Low Income
Energy Assistance Act of 1989, including
Refunds and prior year costs................. 330,000,000
Section 10. The following named amounts, or so much thereof as may be necessary, are appropriated to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity:
Illinois Energy Office
Payable from Energy Efficiency Portfolio
Standards Fund:
For Grants, Contracts, and Administrative
Expenses associated with Energy Efficiency
Programs, including refunds and
Prior year costs............................. 125,000,000
Section 15. The amount of $120,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated to the Illinois Power Agency from the Illinois Power Agency Renewable Energy Resources Fund for funding of current and prior fiscal year purchases of renewable energy resources and related expenses, including the refund of bidder deposit fees and overpayments of alternative compliance payments, pursuant to subsections (b), (c), and (i) of Section 1-56 of the Illinois Power Agency Act.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2016.
