AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2922




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2922 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:

 
 
4    "Section 5. The Counties Code is amended  by changing 
5Section 5-43010 as follows:
 
6    (55 ILCS 5/5-43010)
7    Sec. 5-43010. Administrative adjudication of county code 
8violations.  Any county may provide by ordinance for a system of 
9administrative adjudication of county code violations to the 
10extent permitted by the Illinois Constitution. A "system of 
11administrative adjudication" means the adjudication of any 
12violation of a county ordinance, except for (i) proceedings not 
13within the statutory or the home rule authority of counties; 
14and (ii) any offense under the Illinois Vehicle Code (or a 
15similar offense that is a traffic regulation governing the 
16movement of vehicles and except for any reportable offense

1under Section 6-204 of the Illinois Vehicle Code). Any county 
2may provide by ordinance for a system of administrative 
3adjudication of non-reportable offenses under the Illinois 
4Vehicle Code.
