Amends the College and Career Success for All Students Act. Provides that scores of 4 or higher on International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme examinations shall be accepted for credit to satisfy degree requirements by all public institutions of higher education. Provides that each institution shall determine for each International Baccalaureate test whether credit will be granted for electives, general education requirements, or major requirements and the International Baccalaureate scores required to grant credit for those purposes. Effective immediately.

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 5. The College and Career Success for All Students |
5 | | Act is amended by changing Section 30 as follows: |
6 | | (105 ILCS 302/30) |
7 | | Sec. 30. Examination; postsecondary-level course credit. |
8 | | (a) In this Section, "institution of higher education" |
9 | | means a public university or public community college located |
10 | | in this State. |
11 | | (b) Beginning with the 2016-2017 academic year, scores of |
12 | | 3, 4, and 5 on the College Board Advanced Placement |
13 | | examinations and scores of 4 or higher on International |
14 | | Baccalaureate Diploma Programme examinations shall be accepted |
15 | | for credit to satisfy degree requirements by all institutions |
16 | | of higher education. Each institution of higher education shall |
17 | | determine for each Advanced Placement and International |
18 | | Baccalaureate test whether credit will be granted for |
19 | | electives, general education requirements, or major |
20 | | requirements and the Advanced Placement and International |
21 | | Baccalaureate scores required to grant credit for those |
22 | | purposes. |
23 | | (c) By the conclusion of the 2019-2020 academic year, the |
