Amends the Campus Demonstrations Policy Act. Provides that "State-supported institution of higher learning" includes every institution of higher learning approved by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission for purposes of the Monetary Award Program. Requires the policy on demonstrations of a State-supported institution of higher learning to include a statement declaring that the academic or athletic scholarship awarded to a student-athlete may not be reduced or revoked as a result of the student-athlete's participation in or expression of his or her First Amendment rights under the United States Constitution.

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 5. The Campus Demonstrations Policy Act is amended |
5 | | by changing Section 1 and by adding Section 2.5 as follows:
|

7 | | Sec. 1. For the purposes of this Act:
|
8 | | (a) "State-supported institution of higher learning" means |
9 | | the
University of Illinois, Southern Illinois University,
|
10 | | Chicago State University, Eastern Illinois University, |
11 | | Governors State
University, Illinois State University, |
12 | | Northeastern Illinois University,
Northern Illinois |
13 | | University, Western Illinois University, and the
public |
14 | | community colleges subject to the Public Community College Act , |
15 | | and every institution of higher learning approved by the |
16 | | Illinois Student Assistance Commission for purposes of the |
17 | | monetary award program under Section 35 of the Higher Education |
18 | | Student Assistance Act .

to maintain order on the campus of an |
