Amends the Private Detective, Private Alarm, Private Security, Fingerprint Vendor, and Locksmith Act of 2004. Provides that no licensee shall contract with any municipality for the provision of auxiliary police services. Provides that an employee serving as an auxiliary police officer shall perform only those duties provided by the Illinois Municipal Code and shall, at all times during his or her service, comply with all other requirements of the Code.

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 5. The Private Detective, Private Alarm, Private |
5 | | Security, Fingerprint Vendor, and
Locksmith Act of 2004 is |
6 | | amended by adding Section 10-31 as follows: |
7 | | (225 ILCS 447/10-31 new) |
8 | | Sec. 10-31. Contracts for auxiliary police services. No |
9 | | licensee shall contract with any municipality for the provision |
10 | | of auxiliary police services under Section 3.1-30-20 of the |
11 | | Illinois Municipal Code. An employee serving as an auxiliary |
12 | | police officer shall perform only those duties provided by |
13 | | Section 3.1-30-20 of the Illinois Municipal Code and shall |
14 | | comply with all other requirements of Section 3.1-30-20 and of |
15 | | the Illinois Municipal Code.
