| 1 | AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1249

| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1249 as follows:

| 3 | on page 1, line 9, after "with", by inserting "co-occurring | ||||||
| 4 | mental illness and"; and | ||||||
| 5 | on page 1, by replacing lines 18 through 21, with the | ||||||
| 6 | following: "offer choice to all individuals with serious mental | ||||||
| 7 | illness or co-occurring mental illness and substance use | ||||||
| 8 | disorders or conditions who choose to live in the community, | ||||||
| 9 | and for whom the community is the appropriate setting, | ||||||
| 10 | including those but are at risk of institutional care, the | ||||||
| 11 | Office of".
