AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 845




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 845 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:

 
4    "Section 5. The Law Enforcement Information Task Force Act 
5is amended  by changing Sections 20 and 25 as follows:
 
6    (20 ILCS 5090/20)
7    (Section scheduled to be repealed on February 1, 2017)

8    Sec. 20. Preliminary and final report.
9    (a) The Task Force shall provide a preliminary report to 
10the Governor and General Assembly on or before July 15, 2017 
11December 15, 2016, if the final report is not completed by 
12then.
13    (b) The Task Force shall issue a final report to the 
14Governor and General Assembly on or before October 15 January 
1515, 2017. The report shall include recommendations for 
16legislation, use of technology, and other non-legislative

1processes that would improve the criminal discovery process and 
2law enforcement information sharing.
