| 1 | | AN ACT concerning criminal law.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Law Enforcement Information Task Force Act |
| 5 | | is amended by changing Sections 20 and 25 as follows:
|

| 8 | | Sec. 20. Preliminary and final report. |
| 9 | | (a) The Task Force shall provide a preliminary report to |
| 10 | | the Governor and General Assembly on or before July 15, 2017 |
| 11 | | December 15, 2016, if the final report is not completed by |
| 12 | | then. |
| 13 | | (b) The Task Force shall issue a final report to the |
| 14 | | Governor and General Assembly on or before October 15 January |
| 15 | | 15, 2017. The report shall include recommendations for |
| 16 | | legislation, use of technology, and other non-legislative |
| 17 | | processes that would improve the criminal discovery process and |
| 18 | | law enforcement information sharing.
