2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 805 by replacing |
3 | | everything after the enacting clause with the following:

4 | | "Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by |
5 | | changing Sections 11-301, 11-1403.2, and 12-209 as follows:
|
6 | | (625 ILCS 5/11-301) (from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 11-301)
|
7 | | Sec. 11-301. Department to adopt sign manual.
|
8 | | (a) The Department shall adopt a State manual and |
9 | | specifications for a
uniform system of traffic-control devices |
10 | | consistent with this Chapter for
use upon highways within this |
11 | | State. Such manual shall include the
adoption of the R 7-8 sign |
12 | | adopted by the United States Department of
Transportation to |
13 | | designate the reservation of parking
facilities for a person |
14 | | with disabilities.
Non-conforming signs in use prior to January
|
15 | | 1, 1985 shall not constitute a violation during their useful |
16 | | lives, which
shall not be extended by other means than normal |

1 | | maintenance. The manual
shall also specify insofar
as |
2 | | practicable the minimum warrants justifying the use of the |
3 | | various
traffic control devices. Such uniform system shall |
4 | | correlate with and,
where not inconsistent with Illinois |
5 | | highway conditions, conform to the
system set forth in the most |
6 | | recent edition of the national manual on
Uniform Traffic |
7 | | Control Devices for Streets and Highways.

8 | | (b) Signs adopted by the Department to designate the |
9 | | reservation of
parking facilities for a person with |
10 | | disabilities shall also exhibit, in a
manner determined by the |
11 | | Department, the words " $250 $100 Fine".
|
12 | | (c) If the amount of a fine is changed, the Department |
13 | | shall change the
design of the
signs to indicate
the current |
14 | | amount of the fine.

18 | | cycle, or moped on one wheel; aggravated operating a |
19 | | motorcycle, motor driven cycle, or moped on one wheel. |
20 | | (a) No person shall operate a motorcycle, motor driven

21 | | cycle, or moped on one wheel.

22 | | (b) Aggravated operating a motorcycle, motor driven cycle, |
23 | | or moped on one wheel. A person commits aggravated operating a |
24 | | motorcycle, motor driven cycle, or moped on one wheel when he |
25 | | or she violates subsection (a) of this Section while committing |

1 | | a violation of subsection (b) of Section 11-601 or a violation |
2 | | of Section 11-601.5 of this Code. A violation of this |
3 | | subsection is a petty offense with a minimum fine of $100, |
4 | | except a second conviction of a violation of this subsection is |
5 | | a Class B misdemeanor and a third or subsequent conviction of a |
6 | | violation of this subsection is a Class A misdemeanor in |
7 | | addition to other statutory penalties . |

10 | | Sec. 12-209. Additional Lighting Equipment.
|
11 | | (a) Any motor vehicle may be equipped with not more than 2 |
12 | | side cowl or
fender lamps which shall emit an amber or white |
13 | | light without glare.

14 | | (b) Any motor vehicle may be equipped with not more than |
15 | | one running
board courtesy lamp on each side thereof which |
16 | | shall emit a white or amber
light without glare.
|
17 | | (c) Any motor vehicle may be equipped with one or more |
18 | | back-up lamps either separately or in combination with other |
19 | | lamps; but any such back-up
lamp or lamps shall be mounted on |
20 | | the rear of the vehicle and emit a white light and shall not be |
21 | | lighted when the motor vehicle is in forward
motion.
