| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Attorney Act is amended by changing Section |
| 5 | | 5 as follows:
|

It shall be the
the duty of the clerk of the |
| 8 | | supreme court to make and
keep a record, stating at the head |
| 9 | | thereof that the persons whose names are
therein written have |
| 10 | | been regularly licensed and admitted to practice as
attorneys |
| 11 | | and counselors at law within this State, and that they have |
| 12 | | duly
taken the oath of office as prescribed by law, which shall |
| 13 | | be certified and
indorsed on the license. |
