HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to recognize the 40th anniversary of the 
4founding of Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital on October 11, 
52016; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital has been named 
7one of the nation's 100 Top Hospitals by Truven Health 
8Analytics seven times; it is the only health
care organization 
9in the nation to earn the prestigious 2010 Malcolm Baldrige 
10National Quality Award; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital serves as
DuPage 
12County's only Level I trauma center and is a certified Level 
13III neonatal intensive care unit; the hospital also has been 
14redesignated
as an American Nursing Credentialing Center  
15Magnet hospital - the nation's highest designation in nursing

16excellence; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital is part of 
18Advocate Health Care, the largest health system in Illinois and 
19one of the largest health care
providers in the Midwest; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital has over 2,700 
21nurses, clinicians, technicians, therapists, and other

1healthcare professionals, who partner with 1,000 physicians to 
2provide some of the best healthcare in the country; therefore, 
3be it
  
 
  
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
5NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we  
6recognize the 40th anniversary of the founding of Advocate Good 
7Samaritan Hospital, and we wish it many more years of success; 
8and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital as an expression 
11of our esteem and respect.
