HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, It is highly fitting that the Illinois House of 
3Representatives  pays honor and respect to individuals who have 
4given their
lives in service to their communities; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Illinois State Trooper James Sauter joined the 
6Illinois State Police (ISP) in 2008; he was a licensed pilot 
7and flew surveillance planes for the ISP before returning to 
8the Illinois tollway; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Trooper Sauter was killed in the line of duty on 
10March 29, 2013; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Trooper Sauter was born on October 28, 1984; he 
12grew up in Chicago Ridge and played football for Richards High 
13School; and
 


  
14    WHEREAS, At the time of his passing, Trooper Sauter resided 
15in Vernon Hills with his wife, Liz, and their family; 
16therefore, be it
  
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
18NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
19recognize the life of Illinois State Trooper James Sauter, and 
20thank his family for the sacrifice he made while serving his

1community; and be it further
  
 
2    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
3presented to the family of Trooper Sauter as an expression of 
4our esteem and respect.
