HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Niles West High School, 
4the Wolves,  on winning the school's first boys gymnastics State 
5title; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The Wolves won the championship at Hinsdale 
7Central on Friday, May 13, 2016; they finished third in State 
8in 1965 and 2015, second in 1975, and fifth in 2014; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, The Wolves beat Glenbard West, Fremd, Schaumburg, 
10Palatine, Deerfield, Mundelein, and Wheaton-Warrenville South 
11in team competition; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, The Wolves are now tied with the 1992 Glenbard 
13North State Championship team for the closest finish in State 
14history with a narrow, .35 margin of victory; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, The Wolves title was the fourth in school history, 
16but the first in gymnastics; the Wolves won baseball State 
17titles in 1972 and 1975, and a girls basketball title in 1979; 
18therefore, be it
  
 
  
19    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
20NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we

1congratulate Niles West High School, the Wolves,  on winning the 
2school's first boys gymnastics State title; and be it further
  
 
3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
