HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Dr. 
4Michael B. Schroeder of Arlington Heights, who passed away on 
5May 8, 2016; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Dr. Schroeder was born in Chicago on August 21, 
71955, and shortly thereafter, his family moved to Arlington 
8Heights; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Dr. Schroeder was a devoted husband to Cindy, his 
10loving wife of 29 years, and a devoted father to his four 
11children, Sara, Emily, Nathan, and Jacob; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Dr. Schroeder attended Saint Viator High School in 
13Arlington Heights; he then attended the University of Notre 
14Dame and the University of Illinois School of Dentistry; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Dr. Schroeder was a dentist for 36 years; he had a 
16thriving dental practice in the heart of Arlington Heights, 
17serving patients of all ages throughout the northwest suburbs; 
18and
 
19    WHEREAS, Dr. Schroeder was a dedicated public servant who 
20gave freely of his valuable time in service to his fellow

1citizens, including the Mobile Dental Clinic that provided free 
2or low-cost dental care for residents of Wheeling, Elk Grove, 
3and Palatine Townships; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Dr. Schroeder served on the Arlington Heights 
5Village Board of Trustees from 1989 to 1992; he also served as 
6the acting Arlington Heights Village President during a 
7transition period from December of 1992 to April of 1993; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Dr. Schroeder served as the Wheeling Township 
9Supervisor for over  a decade; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Dr. Schroeder was a lifelong dedicated Republican 
11and served for a term as the Wheeling Township Republican 
12Committeeman; and
  
 
  
13    WHEREAS, Dr. Schroeder dedicated his life to his family, 
14his faith, and his community; therefore, be it
  
 
15    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
16NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
17mourn the passing of Dr. Michael B. Schroeder and extend our 
18sincere condolences to his wife and children on their loss; and 
19be it further
  
 
20    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

1presented to the family of Dr. Schroeder as an expression of 
2our deepest sympathy.
