2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Dr. | ||||||
4 | Harold T. Pye, who passed away on March 21, 2016; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Dr. Harold Pye was born on April 7, 1958 in | ||||||
6 | Chicago; his parents were Harold and Anna Pye; he married Gail | ||||||
7 | Frances Claudette Evans on September 5, 1987; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Dr. Harold Pye confessed his faith in Jesus Christ | ||||||
9 | as a child at Fellowship Baptist Church, where he was baptized | ||||||
10 | by Rev. Dr. Clay Evans; he also taught in the Fellowship Bible | ||||||
11 | Academy; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Dr. Harold Pye graduated from Chicago Vocational | ||||||
13 | High School and continued his education at Chicago State | ||||||
14 | University; after serving in the United States Army Reserve | ||||||
15 | during his undergraduate years and in the United States Navy | ||||||
16 | while working on his medical degree, he attended Temple | ||||||
17 | University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he graduated | ||||||
18 | with honors; he later did his internship at Bethesda Naval | ||||||
19 | Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland; and
| ||||||
20 | WHEREAS, Dr. Harold Pye founded HTP Associates in 2004, | ||||||
21 | using the accommodations at Fellowship Baptist Church as his |

1 | office; in 2006, he built a state-of-the-art building at 11012 | ||||||
2 | South Western Avenue in Chicago; he also partnered with other | ||||||
3 | physical therapists in his profession to expand his service to | ||||||
4 | the community and the City of Chicago; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Dr. Harold Pye is survived by his wife of 28 | ||||||
6 | years, Gail Claudette; his mother, Minister Anna Wilkins; his | ||||||
7 | brothers, Michael Pye and Daryl (Norma) Pye; his sister, | ||||||
8 | Elizabeth Straughter; his brothers-in-law, Michael (Felicia) | ||||||
9 | Evans and Ralph (Gwendolyn) Evans; his sister-in-law, Faith | ||||||
10 | Renee' Kelly; his special cousin-in-law, Stephen (Darlene) | ||||||
11 | Stewart; his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; | ||||||
12 | the HTP family; and cherished patients and many friends; | ||||||
13 | therefore, be it

14 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
15 | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
16 | we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Dr. | ||||||
17 | Harold T. Pye; and be it further

18 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
19 | presented to the family of Dr. Harold Pye as an expression of | ||||||
20 | our sympathy.
