| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Louis H. |
| 4 | | Gualdoni, who passed away on January 25, 2016; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Louis Gualdoni was born on April 6, 1930 in |
| 6 | | Detroit, Michigan; his parents were Emil A. and Lucy (nee |
| 7 | | Dobracki) Gualdoni, Sr.; he married Beauella A. Bearden on |
| 8 | | September 29, 1951 in the rectory of Our Lady of Mount Carmel |
| 9 | | Catholic Church in Herrin; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Louis Gualdoni was a veteran of the United States |
| 11 | | Army during the Korean War; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Louis Gualdoni owned and operated Louie's P & R in |
| 13 | | Herrin for over 59 years; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Louis Gualdoni was a member of Our Lady of Mount |
| 15 | | Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin; he served as president of the |
| 16 | | Herrin Eagles, and was a member of Herrin Knights of Columbus |
| 17 | | Council 2164, Herrin Elks Lodge 1146, and Pigeon Inn in Herrin; |
| 18 | | he was also a member of the Herrin American Legion Post 645 and |
| 19 | | the Baker-Ladd Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1567 in Herrin; |
| 20 | | and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Louis Gualdoni was preceded in death by his wife, |
| 2 | | Beauella; his parents; and his brothers, Emil A. Gualdoni, Jr. |
| 3 | | and Albert R. Gualdoni; and
|
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Louis Gualdoni is survived by his children and |
| 5 | | their spouses, Tony and Alisa Gualdoni, Janice and David Rose, |
| 6 | | and Chris and Ann Gualdoni; his grandchildren, Mandi Courson, |
| 7 | | Nikki (Mike) Helsley, Spencer Gualdoni, Lacie Goff, Louis |
| 8 | | Gualdoni, and Kristy Gualdoni; his great-grandchildren, |
| 9 | | Anthony Sieveking and Brynlynn Helsley; his brothers and |
| 10 | | sisters-in-law, Jim and Diane Gualdoni and Tom and Lola |
| 11 | | Gualdoni; his sister-in-law, Peggy Gualdoni; his several |
| 12 | | nieces and nephews; his extended family and friends at The |
| 13 | | Villas of Holly Brook; and his special caregiver, Helen Cavins; |
| 14 | | therefore, be it

| 15 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 16 | | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 17 | | we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of |
| 18 | | Louis H. Gualdoni; and be it further
|
| 19 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 20 | | presented to the family of Louis Gualdoni as an expression of |
| 21 | | our sympathy.
