HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of  Vincent 
4"Joe" Dee of Chicago Heights; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Vincent Dee was a graduate of Mt. Carmel High 
6School; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Vincent Dee retired from the Calumet Steel Company 
8after 42 years of service; he later enjoyed his work for 
9Skyline Disposal/B-52 Shredding; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Vincent Dee's love of sports and coaching led to a 
11long career as a high school football referee for the IHSA and 
12as a football and basketball coach at St. Agnes Parish and for 
13Chicago Heights Small Fry basketball; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Vincent Dee was inducted into the Marian Catholic 
15High School Hall of Fame as the "Lifetime Achievement" award 
16recipient for 2008; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Vincent Dee was a proud member of the St. Agnes 
18Holy Name Society; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Vincent Dee was the husband of Bernice (nee

1Patrizi) for 53 years; the father of James (Cathy), Thomas 
2(Mary Jane), Timothy (Kim), and John (Caren); the loving "Papa" 
3to his grandchildren, Matthew, Meaghan (Michael Beechin), 
4Shannon, Katlynn, Alyssa, Keely, Jocelyn, Haley, Timothy, 
5Sean, Ryan, Nicholas, and Lannah; the son of the late Mary (nee 
6Walsh) and Vincent J. Dee; and the brother of Dennis (Tirtzah) 
7Dee, Kathleen Dee, and Margaret (Charles) Hansen; therefore, be 
8it
  
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
10NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
11we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of 
12Vincent "Joe" Dee; and be it further
  
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
14presented to the family of Vincent Dee as an expression of our 
15sympathy.
