2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Rev. |
4 | | Ralph Thomas Wrightner Stuckey of Dunlap, who passed away on |
5 | | January 27, 2016; and
|
6 | | WHEREAS, Rev. Stuckey was born in Texarkana, Texas to Edna |
7 | | Ruth Wrightner and Henry Stuckey, Sr. on September 12, 1950; he |
8 | | served in the United States Army; he received a bachelor's |
9 | | degree in general education from Bradley University in Peoria, |
10 | | a bachelor's degree in general studies from Texas A&M |
11 | | University, and a marketing management degree from Illinois |
12 | | Central College in East Peoria; he married Gloria Williams in |
13 | | Peoria on June 17, 2010; and
|
14 | | WHEREAS, Rev. Stuckey retired from Caterpillar, Inc. in |
15 | | 2013 after many years of service; and
|
16 | | WHEREAS, Rev. Stuckey served as Associate Pastor at Star Of |
17 | | Hope Full Gospel Baptist Church in Peoria; he also served as |
18 | | Chaplain for the Illinois Department of Corrections; he was a |
19 | | faithful member of PrayerView Community Church in Peoria; and
|
20 | | WHEREAS, Rev. Stuckey was preceded in death by his father, |
21 | | Henry Stuckey, Sr.; his mother, Edna R. Foote; and his brother, |

2 | | WHEREAS, Rev. Stuckey is survived by his wife, Gloria; his |
3 | | stepmother, Gloria Stuckey; his son, Christopher Wells |
4 | | Wrightner; his 6 daughters, Terra Wrightner, Dynal "Jay" |
5 | | Wrightner, Denisha Foy, Nicole Williams, Annette Williams, and |
6 | | Nia Crane; his 6 brothers, Andre (Dr. Leslie) McKnight, Ronnie |
7 | | Nelson, Henry (Lorna) Stuckey, Jr., Gregory Stuckey, and Floyd |
8 | | (Marilyn) Taylor; his 4 sisters, Andre (Lyntee) Curley, Roberta |
9 | | Foote, Tanya Foote, and LaToya Stuckey; his 9 grandchildren, |
10 | | Jordan, Cassidy, Christopher, Destini, TaTianna, Dion, Jr., |
11 | | Jaylin, Quinten, and Alanea; his 2 great-grandchildren, |
12 | | Ka'Money and Kay'Onna; and a host of nieces, nephews, other |
13 | | relatives, and friends; therefore, be it

14 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
15 | | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
16 | | mourn the passing of Rev. Ralph Thomas Wrightner Stuckey, and |
17 | | extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all |
18 | | who knew and loved him; and be it further

19 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
20 | | presented to the family of Rev. Stuckey as an expression of our |
21 | | deepest sympathy.
