HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate  the members of the Marist 
4Red Hawks softball team on the occasion of their victory in the 
5IHSA Class 4A State tournament; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The Red Hawks defeated Lincoln-Way East 1-0 to 
7achieve victory in the IHSA Class 4A State tournament; the team 
8ended their season with a phenomenal 36-4-2 record; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, This victory marks the Red Hawks' second State 
10title in 4 years; the team also finished the season on an 
11impressive 29-game winning streak; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, The members of the Red Hawks are Hayley Franks, 
13Jillian Kenny, Alexis Rogers, Vanessa Villasenor, Maggie 
14Kehoe, Lizzie Annerino, Brooke Wilson, Emily Luzzo, Zariya 
15Gonzalez, Paige Egan, Amanda McIlhany, Emily Reilly, Kara 
16Apato, and Madison Naujokas; the team's head coach is Colleen 
17Biebel and the assistant coaches are Ashley Barry and Nicole 
18Costello; and

  
 
19    WHEREAS, The members of the Red Hawks serve as models of 
20hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the 
21State of Illinois; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
3congratulate the members of the Marist Red Hawks softball team 
4on the occasion of their victory in the IHSA Class 4A State 
5tournament and wish them continued success and happiness in the 
6future; and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the Marist Red Hawks softball team as a symbol of 
9our esteem and respect.
