| 7 | | at the Regional Championship,
Metamora 5-3 and Bloomington 1-0 |
| 8 | | in 11 innings at Sectionals, Peotone 6-5 in 8 innings at
Super |
| 9 | | Sectionals, the Washington Community High School Lady Panthers |
| 10 | | defeated Sacred
Heart-Griffin 5-3 in 10 innings and Marengo 2-1 |
| 11 | | to win the 3A Softball State Championship
game on June 13, |
| 12 | | 2015; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, This victory is the first State Championship |
| 14 | | trophy in the program's history and the
first State appearance |
| 15 | | since 1991; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, The team finished the season with a spectacular |
| 17 | | 29-10 record; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, The Washington softball team always won in extra |
| 19 | | innings or came back from being
behind; this not only made all |
| 20 | | of the fans nervous but it also earned them the nickname |
| 21 | | "Cardiac
Kids"; and
