| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives recognize the contributions of generations of |
| 4 | | immigrants from every corner of the globe in building our |
| 5 | | economy and creating our nation's unique character; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Immigrants continue to grow businesses, innovate, |
| 7 | | strengthen our economy, and create jobs in Illinois; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Immigrants have provided the United States with |
| 9 | | unique social and cultural influence, fundamentally enriching |
| 10 | | the extraordinary character of our nation; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Immigrants have been tireless leaders not only in |
| 12 | | securing their own rights and access to equal opportunity, but |
| 13 | | also by working to create a fairer and more just society for |
| 14 | | all Americans; therefore, be it
|
| 15 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 16 | | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 17 | | designate the month of June 2015 as Immigration Heritage Month |
| 18 | | in the State of Illinois; and be it further
