SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Mari-Jo Jacquette of Waukegan, who passed
4away on April 16, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Mari-Jo Jacquette was born on June 17, 1965; she
6married Thomas (TJ) Jacquette on August 12, 1988, at the Old
7St. Patrick's Church in Wadsworth; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Mari-Jo Jacquette attended Marquette University
9Law School and graduated cum laude in 1995; she was admitted to
10the Bar in 1995 and practiced family law in Waukegan; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Mari-Jo Jacquette was a member of the Lake County,
12Illinois, and Wisconsin State Bar Associations; she was a
13member of the Family Law Section of the Lake County Bar
14Association, a member of the Judicial Selection and Retention
15Committee of the Lake County Bar Association, and a past
16treasurer and president of the Association of Women Attorneys
17of Lake County; she also belonged to the Lithuanian Historical
18Cultural Society in Chicago and was proud of her heritage; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Mari-Jo Jacquette enjoyed spending time hunting
20mushrooms, picking berries, and fishing at her Wisconsin home
21with her family and friends; and

1    WHEREAS, Mari-Jo Jacquette was preceded in death by her
2parents, Walter J. Bukantis and Betty Mae Bukantis, and her
3great-niece, Rebecca Boice; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Mari-Jo Jacquette is survived by her husband,
5Thomas; her sons, Frank Matthew and Walter Joseph; her canine
6companion, Tessie; and her extended family members; therefore,
7be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
10her family and friends, the passing of Mari-Jo Jacquette; and
11be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Mari-Jo Jacquette as an expression
14of our sympathy.
