SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Clair Hogan; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Clair Hogan served his country with pride as a
5member of the United States Armed Forces during World War II;
6and
 
7    WHEREAS, Clair Hogan was a long-time manager at the United
8States Postal Service and Liquid Carbonic; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Clair Hogan was an active member at St. Thomas
10More; he was involved with Recording for the Blind, Boosters,
11and the Marist Fathers Club and served as a baseball coach; he
12was also voted Mayor of 84th Street by his peers; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Clair Hogan was an avid fan of the Chicago White
14Sox; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Clair Hogan was preceded in death by his wife of
1668 years, Mary; his brothers, John, Michael, Daniel, Thomas,
17Bernard, and Emmett; and his sister, Marie; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Clair Hogan was the loving father of Kathryn
19Nilson, Mary Rose (Patrick) Hennessy, Rita (Dr. David) Durkin,

1Dr. Richard (Deborah), and Kevin (Catherine); the proud
2grandfather of 18; and the great-grandfather of 11; therefore,
3be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
6his family and friends, the passing of Clair Hogan; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Clair Hogan as an expression of our
10sympathy.
