SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
210 ILCS 45/3-511  from Ch. 111 1/2, par. 4153-511

    Amends the Nursing Home Care Act. In a provision concerning the reimbursement of receivers by the Department of Public Health adds that a monitor may also be reimbursed. Provides that the Department of Public Health may reimburse the receiver or monitor for its expenses from funds appropriated to the Department by the General Assembly after funds contained in the Long Term Care Monitor/Receiver Fund not allocated for the costs associated with hiring and maintaining of surveyors have been exhausted (currently, after funds contained in the Long Term Care Monitor/Receiver Fund have been exhausted). Effective immediately.

1    AN ACT concerning regulation.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Nursing Home Care Act is amended by changing
5Section 3-511 as follows:
 
6    (210 ILCS 45/3-511)  (from Ch. 111 1/2, par. 4153-511)
7    Sec. 3-511. If funds collected under Sections 3-508 and
83-509 are insufficient to meet the expenses of performing the
9powers and duties conferred on the receiver or the monitor, or
10if there are insufficient funds on hand to meet those expenses,
11the Department may reimburse the receiver or the monitor for
12those expenses from funds appropriated for its ordinary and
13contingent expenses by the General Assembly after funds
14contained in the Long Term Care Monitor/Receiver Fund, not
15allocated for the costs associated with hiring and maintaining
16of surveyors, have been exhausted.

18    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
