| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1474, AS AMENDED, |
| 3 | | on page 1, line 13, after the period, by inserting "In the case |
| 4 | | of a health care facility that is secured by an electronic code |
| 5 | | box that is in good working order, if the owner of the health |
| 6 | | care facility provides the fire department with a valid access |
| 7 | | code, then that health care facility is not required to be |
| 8 | | accessible by an access or key box. For the purposes of this |
| 9 | | Section, "health care facility" means: a hospital licensed |
| 10 | | under the Hospital Licensing Act; a nursing home or long-term |
| 11 | | care facility licensed under the Nursing Home Care Act; an |
| 12 | | assisted living establishment, as defined in the Assisted |
| 13 | | Living and Shared Housing Act; a mental health facility, as |
| 14 | | defined in the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities |
| 15 | | Code; a supportive living facility certified to participate in |
| 16 | | the supportive living facilities program under Section 5-5.01a |
| 17 | | of the Illinois Public Aid Code; or a facility licensed under |
| 18 | | the Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Act.".
