| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The School Code is amended by changing Section |
| 5 | | 19-5 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (105 ILCS 5/19-5) (from Ch. 122, par. 19-5)
|
| 7 | | Sec. 19-5. Registration, numbering and countersigning. All |
| 8 | | bonds issued under this Act, except bonds issued by school |
| 9 | | districts
having a population of more than 500,000 inhabitants, |
| 10 | | before being issued,
negotiated and
and sold, shall be |
| 11 | | registered, numbered and countersigned by the
treasurer who |
| 12 | | receives the taxes of the district. The registration shall be
|
| 13 | | made in a book in which shall be entered the record of the |
| 14 | | election
authorizing the directors or the board of education to |
| 15 | | borrow money and a
description of the bonds issued, including |
| 16 | | the number, date, to whom
issued, amount, rate of interest and |
| 17 | | when due. |
