SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

 

Amends "An Act concerning appropriations", Public Act 97-730. Designates the Department of Human Services as the State agency to receive funds appropriated from the Health and Human Services Medicaid Trust Fund for awards and grants to   developmental disabilities or mental health programs (rather than for awards and grants to developmental disabilities programs). Appropriates $12,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services' Division of Mental Health for the sole purpose of restoring funds to capacity grant funded programs that were reduced and preventing payment delays in fee-for-service programs. Effective immediately.

    AN ACT concerning appropriations.

 

        Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

 

    Section 5. “An Act concerning appropriations”, Public Act 97-730, approved June 30, 2012, is amended by changing Section 130 of Article 9 as follows:

 

    (P.A. 97-730, Art. 1, Sec. 130)

    Sec. 130. The sum of $34,450,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Health and Human Services Medicaid Trust Fund to the Department of Human Services for awards and grants to developmental disabilities or mental health programs.

    Section 10. “An Act concerning appropriations”, Public Act 97-730, approved June 30, 2012, is amended by adding Section 225 to Article 9 as follows:

 

    (P.A. 97-730, Art. 9, Sec. 225 new)

    Sec. 225. The sum of $12,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services' Division of Mental Health for the sole purpose of restoring funds to capacity grant funded programs that were reduced and preventing payment delays in fee-for-service programs.

 

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
