2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Russell | ||||||
4 | J. Horn of Willowbrook, who passed away on September 16, 2014; | ||||||
5 | and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Russell Horn was born in 1935 in Youngstown, Ohio; | ||||||
7 | he attended Northwestern University and the University of | ||||||
8 | Chicago; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Russell Horn served his country as a member of the | ||||||
10 | United States Army; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Russell Horn was employed as a telecommunications | ||||||
12 | engineer for AT&T and Lucent Technologies for more than 30 | ||||||
13 | years; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Russell Horn was a former member of the DuPage | ||||||
15 | County and Downers Grove Township Boards; he was also a former | ||||||
16 | committeeman for the Downers Grove Township Republican | ||||||
17 | Organization and served on the DuPage Airport Authority Board; | ||||||
18 | and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Russell Horn was a member of St. Isaac Jogues | ||||||
20 | Church and was active with the National Right to Life |

1 | organization; and | ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, Russell Horn was preceded in death by his wife, | ||||||
3 | Linda F. Horn, and a son, David; and
| ||||||
4 | WHEREAS, Russell Horn is survived by a daughter, Deborah | ||||||
5 | (Tom) Buonincontro; 2 sons, Steve (Alycia) and Craig (Amanda | ||||||
6 | Duncan); and 9 grandchildren, Julia, John, Peter, Andrew, | ||||||
7 | Christian, Anna, Evan, Mateo, and Maximillian; therefore, be it

8 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
9 | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
10 | we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of | ||||||
11 | Russell J. Horn; and be it further
| ||||||
12 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
13 | presented to the family of Russell Horn as an expression of our | ||||||
14 | sympathy.
