2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Gary F. | ||||||
4 | Siebert of Eldorado, who passed away on August 27, 2013; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Gary Siebert was born on May 3, 1943, to Foster | ||||||
6 | and Delores (nee Cripe) Siebert; he received his Bachelor's and | ||||||
7 | Master's Degrees from Southern Illinois | ||||||
8 | University-Edwardsville, and his Education Specialist's and | ||||||
9 | Education Administration Degrees from Eastern Illinois | ||||||
10 | University in Charleston; he married Dicy Dillard on March 10, | ||||||
11 | 1990; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Gary Siebert served a total of 47 years in the | ||||||
13 | education field; he worked as Eldorado's School Superintendent | ||||||
14 | for 27 years and for Galatia's School System for 8 years; he | ||||||
15 | also worked as an instructor for many years at Southeastern | ||||||
16 | Illinois College in Harrisburg and Frontier Community College | ||||||
17 | in Fairfield; he was working towards his Doctorate at Oakland | ||||||
18 | City University in Oakland City, Indiana; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Gary Siebert served on the Saline County Board for | ||||||
20 | the past 15 years; he also was on the Police Pension Board and | ||||||
21 | was a member of the Eldorado Rotary Club for 27 years, the | ||||||
22 | Eldorado Son's of the American Legion Post #169, the Eldorado |

1 | Men's Club, the Galatia Masonic Lodge #684 Ancient Free and | ||||||
2 | Accepted Masons, the Saline County Sheriff's Association, as | ||||||
3 | well as being a long-standing member and former President of | ||||||
4 | the Saline County Chamber of Commerce; he was also the former | ||||||
5 | President of the Wabash and Ohio Valley Special Education | ||||||
6 | District Board; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, Gary Siebert was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
8 | and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Gary Siebert is survived by his wife, Dicy; his | ||||||
10 | daughter, Amy (T.J.) Zurliene; his son, Gary Siebert, Jr.; his | ||||||
11 | brother, Danny (Lena) Siebert; his son/grandson, Gabriel | ||||||
12 | Siebert; his son, Stephen Siebert; his stepchildren, Sherry | ||||||
13 | (Jim) Williams, Kevin Stricklin, Donna (Tim) Stotlar, and Lia | ||||||
14 | Milstead; his grandchildren, Loxton Zurliene, Maisee Siebert, | ||||||
15 | Jeremy Williams, Tiffany (Phil) Nyberg, Jennifer (Frankie) | ||||||
16 | Bourland, Greg Stricklin, Scott (Stormy) Stricklin, Anthony | ||||||
17 | Stotlar, Jon Stotlar, Brista (Justin) Barrington, Brittany | ||||||
18 | (Kreig) Taylor, Brandy Questelle (Michael Riden), Sarah | ||||||
19 | Siebert, Justin Siebert, and Stephen Siebert, Jr.; and several | ||||||
20 | great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

21 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
22 | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
23 | we mourn the passing of Gary F. Siebert, and extend our sincere |
