Amends the Clerks of Courts Act. Provides that with regard to any notification required by law to be made by the circuit clerk to a party, the circuit clerk may reasonably rely upon any notice of the party's change of address received from the United States Postal Service as a true and correct statement of the party's current residential address.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Clerks of Courts Act is amended by adding |
| 5 | | Section 12.5 as follows:

| 6 | | (705 ILCS 105/12.5 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 12.5. Party change of address. With regard to any |
| 8 | | notification required by law to be made by the circuit clerk to |
| 9 | | a party, the circuit clerk may reasonably rely upon any notice |
