Amends the Department of Natural Resources (Conservation) Law of the
Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that the Department of Natural Resources shall allow individuals camping in campsites owned or managed by the Department to use golf carts within areas designated as camping grounds. Authorizes the Department to charge an additional fee of $5 per day for the privilege of using a golf cart within camping grounds. Provides that only one golf cart shall be allowed for each individual tent or trailer campsite at any one time. Effective immediately.

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 5. The Department of Natural Resources |
5 | | (Conservation) Law of the
Civil Administrative Code of Illinois |
6 | | is amended by adding Section 805-565 as follows: |
7 | | (20 ILCS 805/805-565 new) |
8 | | Sec. 805-565. Golf carts in campsites. The Department shall |
9 | | allow individuals camping in campsites owned or managed by the |
10 | | Department to use golf carts within areas designated as camping |
11 | | grounds. Golf carts may be used only on the roadways within the |
12 | | camping grounds. The Department may charge an additional fee of |
13 | | $5 per day for the privilege of using a golf cart within |
14 | | camping grounds. Only one golf cart shall be allowed for an |
15 | | individual tent or trailer campsite at any one time.

16 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
17 | | becoming law.
