Amends the Nursing Home Care Act. Provides that a resident of a long-term care facility who is assigned by the Department of Healthcare and Family Services to a managed care organization participating in a Medicare-Medicaid Alignment Initiative Program shall have the right to remain in the facility in which the resident resides after enrollment occurs. Effective immediately.

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 5. The Nursing Home Care Act is amended by adding |
5 | | Section 2-115 as follows: |
6 | | (210 ILCS 45/2-115 new) |
7 | | Sec. 2-115. Managed Care. A resident of a facility who is |
8 | | assigned by the Department of Healthcare and Family Services to |
9 | | a managed care organization participating in a |
10 | | Medicare-Medicaid Alignment Initiative (MMAI) Program has the |
11 | | right to remain in the facility in which the resident resides |
12 | | after enrollment occurs.

13 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
14 | | becoming law.
