2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 5. The Eminent Domain Act is amended by changing |
5 | | Section 20-5-25 as follows:
|
6 | | (735 ILCS 30/20-5-25) (was 735 ILCS 5/7-107)

7 | | Sec. 20-5-25. Persons contesting not to be prejudiced. |
8 | | Neither the
plaintiff nor nor any party interested in the |
9 | | property, by taking any action
authorized by Sections 20-5-5 |
10 | | through 20-5-20, inclusive, of this Act, or authorized under |
11 | | Article 25 of this Act, shall be
prejudiced in any way in |
12 | | contesting, in later stages of the proceeding, the
amount to be |
13 | | finally ascertained to be just compensation. |
