Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963. Makes a technical change in Section on time period for preliminary hearing or indictment of persons charged with felonies.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 2
Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963. Changes the date by which a person in custody for the alleged commission of a felony must receive a preliminary hearing or indictment by a grand jury from within 30 days from the date taken into custody to 27 days.
