Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence River Basin Water Resources Compact Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title.

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Creates the Support Your Neighbor Commission in the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity with the goal of promoting the purchase and sale of products made in the United States and Illinois. Provides that the Commission shall commence on January 26, 2015 and that members shall serve a term of four years. Provides for the appointment of voting and non-voting members of the Commission, and for the filling of vacancies on the Commission. Provides that members shall serve without compensation but may be reimbursed for expenses with funds appropriated to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity. Requires the Commission to file a report with the Department by December 31 of every year and to post this report on its website. Amends the Department of Natural Resources Act. Requires the Illinois State Museum to set aside a booth or section of the gift shop for the sale of products manufactured in the United States. Amends the State Parks Act. Requires gift shops and concession areas within State parks to set aside a booth or section for the sale of products manufactured in the United States. Amends the Historic Preservation Agency Act. Requires State Historic Sites, State Memorials, and other properties under the jurisdiction of the Historic Preservation Agency to set aside a booth or Section for the sale of products manufactured in the United States. Effective immediately.

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts provisions of the engrossed bill. Provides that the Support Your Neighbor Commission is created within the Department of Central Management Services (rather than the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity). Repeals the Section creating the Commission on December 31, 2017. Makes technical changes. Effective immediately.
