Amends the State Employees Group Insurance Act of 1971. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 1

	Deletes reference to:

	Adds reference to:
	15 ILCS 310/9	from Ch. 124, par. 109

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Secretary of State Merit Employment Code. Provides that upon receipt of a request for a hearing regarding disciplinary action, the Merit Commission shall grant the hearing within 45 (rather than 30) calendar days. Effective immediately.
