The expenditure of these monies over the course of the upcoming fiscal year allows the Department to carry out its mission as a regulatory entity of the State: "To protect consumers by providing assistance and information, by efficiently regulating the insurance industry's market behavior and financial solvency, and by fostering a competitive insurance marketplace." There are no General Revenue Fund monies contained within this appropriation request.

This bill will have no effect on the cost of constructing, purchasing, owning, or selling a single-family residence.

State Debt Impact Note (Government Forecasting & Accountability)

Balanced Budget Note (Office of Management and Budget)
