Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Criminal Identification Act concerning expungement and sealing of criminal records. Eliminates from the definition of "minor traffic offense", a Class C misdemeanor violation under the Illinois Vehicle Code or a similar provision of a municipal or local ordinance.

House Floor Amendment No. 2
Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Reinstates the bill, but only provides that a person 18 years of age or older convicted of a Class C misdemeanor, other than a minor traffic offense, may petition the court to expunge the records of the Class C misdemeanor, 2 years after completion of sentence.

Senate Committee Amendment No. 1
Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Criminal Identification Act. Provides that sealing for orders of supervision and convictions, includes orders of supervision and convictions on municipal ordinance violations that are not otherwise excluded from sealing by the Act.
