Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Criminal Code of 2012. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning piercing the body of a minor.

Adds reference to:
725 ILCS 5/110-5from Ch. 38, par. 110-5

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963. Provides that if a first-time offender is charged with a non-violent offense that is a misdemeanor, the court may order him or her released on his or her own recognizance, unless the court makes a specific finding that a cash bond is necessary to secure his or her appearance, and in addition to any other conditions, may order as a condition of his or her release, his or her monitoring under electronic surveillance as provided in the Unified Code of Corrections.
