Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Election Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning expenses of conducting a primary election.

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Creates the Tax for Education Referendum Act. Provides that the State Board of Elections shall cause a statewide advisory question of public policy to be submitted to the voters at the general election to be held on November 4, 2014 asking whether the Illinois Constitution should be amended to require that each school district receive additional revenue, based on their number of students, from an additional 3% tax on income greater than $1,000,000. Provides that the State Board of Elections shall immediately certify the question to be submitted to the voters of the entire State to each election authority in Illinois. Provides that the Tax for Education Referendum Act is repealed on January 1, 2015. Effective immediately.
