Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Township Code. Provides that if the chairman of the township central committee fails to notify the township clerk by first-class mail of the time and location of the political party's caucus not less than 20 days before the caucus, the caucus shall not be held at the time and location. Effective immediately.

House Floor Amendment No. 1
Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Township Code. Provides that if the chairperson of the township central committee fails to meet certain requirements, the chairperson's political party shall not be permitted to nominate a candidate in the next upcoming consolidated election for any office for which a nomination could have been made at the caucus should the chairperson of the township central committee have met the requirements of this Section. Effective immediately.
