Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Liquor Control Act of 1934. Provides that manufacturers shall pay a fee of $250 when registering agents, representatives, or persons acting on behalf of a manufacturer. Provides that manufacturers shall send a list of their registered agents to any distributor or importing distributor to which the manufacturer has granted the right to sell at wholesale. Changes the punishment for knowingly misstating any material fact under oath in an application from a Class B misdemeanor to a business offense.

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts the language from the introduced bill amending the Liquor Control Act of 1934. Removes the change of punishment for knowingly misstating any material fact under oath in an application. Provides that the Liquor Control Commission shall post a list of registered agents on the Commission's website. Removes changes to fees. Effective immediately.

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Liquor Control Act of 1934. Provides that, when multiple complaints alleging specified violations result in a hearing, the Commission shall designate a hearing officer to conduct a hearing. Provides that the hearing officer shall be an attorney licensed to practice law in this State and shall be an employee of the Illinois Liquor Control Commission, unless, by a majority vote of the Commission, the Commission selects a hearing officer who has not received compensation for a period of one year from the date of the hearing from a licensed business or entity subject to the provisions of the Act. Authorizes the hearing officer to administer oaths to witnesses and issue subpoenas for the attendance of witnesses or other persons and the production of relevant documents, records, and other evidence and to require examination of the evidence. Provides that parties to a hearing may conduct cross-examination. Provides that the Commission shall furnish a transcript of the record to any person interested in the hearing upon payment of the actual cost of the transcript. Effective immediately.

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Liquor Control Act of 1934. Provides that craft brewers may manufacture up to 930,000 gallons of beer per year. Changes related references from 465,000 gallons to 930,000. Effective immediately.
