Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Public Utilities Act in relation to marketing alternative services and products. Limits the use of early termination clauses and penalties. Requires certain utilities to share customer lists. Defines terms. Effective immediately.

Provides that the Commerce Commission shall consider the availability of a toll-free telephone number or internet access for customers of an alternative gas supplier when evaluating the level of the supplier's managerial resources. Effective immediately.

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. If and only if House Bill 183 of the 98th General Assembly becomes law, amends the Firearm Concealed Carry Act. Requires a concealed carry licensee who is stopped by an officer of a law enforcement agency to, upon the request of the officer the licensee shall immediately disclose to the officer that he or she is in possession of a concealed firearm. Provides that the required signage at the entrance of property prohibiting the carrying of concealed firearms applies to premises described in specified provisions of the Act. If and only if House Bill 183 of the 98th General Assembly becomes law, amends the Firearm Owners Identification Card Act. Provides that a law enforcement official or school administrator shall, within 24 hours of making a determination that a person poses a clear and present danger, notify the Department of State Police of the determination (rather than report to the Department of Human Services). Effective immediately.
