Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Creates the Illinois Police K-9 Memorial Fund. Allows the Secretary of State to issue Illinois Police K-9 Memorial Plates. Charges $40 for the issuance of these plates, $25 of which will go to the Illinois Police K-9 Memorial Fund and $15 of which will go the Secretary of State Special License Fund. Charges $27 for renewal, $25 of which will go to the Illinois Police K-9 Memorial Fund and $2 of which will go to the Secretary of State Police Special License Fund. Allows distribution of money in the Illinois Police K-9 Memorial Fund to the Northern Illinois Police K-9 Memorial for the construction, operation, and maintenance of a police K-9 memorial monument. Makes a corresponding change in the State Finance Act.
